Solomon r. Guggenheim Museum
- 1071 5th Ave, New York, NY 10128 located on the corner of East 89th Street and Fifth Avenue on the Upper East Side.
It's not a 'real' visit to the Upper East Side if you don't make a stop to the Guggenheim. The architecture alone makes it worth the trip. Whenever I'm visiting the neighborhood, I will always try and pay a visit to my favorite museums, restaurants and places. I've visited this museum several times and every time, I find myself marvel at how beautifully it is designed and enamored by it's curves and lines. Each level of the museum serves a carefully planned out purpose in educating the visitor. The building, the layout, all of it is so unique that it puts a spin on the museum experience.
The Guggenheim's collection of art changes periodically, and visitors are able to experience the artwork by walking along a ramp that spirals up around the entire interior of the cylindrical building.
